I like to play all the different classes depending on what mood I'm in but if I could only play one class for the rest of my life it would have to be the Wizard. If I need muscle for a fight I can always Dominate some stupid barbarian and make him my biatch....

Monks come out victorious, I mean 3 good saves? And more attacks than a fighter? Fist damage of 2d10? Your wizy just doesnt stand a chance.

Please, wizards can just force cage and fill it up with water, grab some popcorn and watch the monk pop.
Wizards rule !

Druid, psion, or artificer. Though I picked druid since its core.
Something about the classic bear vs man fights are hilarious.

Assuming the monk isn't already beating on the wizard. After all you have to get awfully close to cast forcecage.

I had a tough time deciding between Barbarian, Druid, and Ranger. I'm a bit of a nature/animal buff, and all three of these classes exhibit an affinity for nature. I decided on the Druid in the end. They're also three of the most powerful classes in the game

Bards are an unusual choice, but the reason they are my choice is very simple - the characters I've enjoyed playing most have been bards. They have a certain flavor by their very nature most other charaters lack, they function well by themselves but are assets to a group (who doesn't want pluses to everything they do?) they have enough spells for versitility to get by, can have enough combat and rogue abilities to survive in a dungeon, and generally get the girl at the end. Bards rock!

Personally, my 2nd favorite class is Fighter (1st is Psychic Warrior, but it isn't there). Fighters are the best overall combatants and are always welcome in any advenuring party. I also love them because of their sheer versatility. You can play a fighter a bazillion different ways (Personally, my favorite is an Archer). Psychic warriors I like because, they are almost as versatile, but in terms of combat, they are not as good as a fighter. However they can suppliment their combat effectiveness with Psionic powers (which are better than Arcane spells because they can be used in heay armor).

Well, my favorite is either Swashbuckler or Scout (Scout maybe slightly more) but of core, its Fighter, since its the most varied and you can make a character based on almost any combat style you want.
