Shard storms! A blessing or curse?
Today, the recent shardstorms have hit an all time record length! Dropping about 400 pounds worth in the past 3 months as estimated by the Morgave University. Shard archealogists from Xen'drik have cancelled many of their expeditions due to the deflation of shard prices. Ten skycoaching accidents have been reported due to the intermittent showers, along with 350 injured, 25 deaths from House Jorasco.

Of special note, groups such as the Explorer's Union of Aundair, Shard Seekers, Freelance Finders, and other such small starting company's stock have dropped drastically. In fact it is estimated that with the withdrawl of their patrons, many of these groups will have an estimated debt of 10,000 gold or more. One member of the Explorer's Union was quoted as saying, "Well, I never thought the weather would be against us, more than hail or hurricanes." Indeed, with these shardstorms, the lucrative mining companies of the past year are in for some tough times ahead.

Arms for the poor?
Recently, five victims have lost their limbs or other body parts. Many of them located in the Lower Menthis Area. This would not be such breaking news, except the limbs have been replaced by various grafts.
Inquiries to House Jorasco about their new limbs state that they're pefectly fine, though they do cause the victims a little discomfort because of the appearance. Though House Cannith is confused at the the expensive grafts being used on the poor folk, they state the magic in them is stable. A reward though is being offered by both houses if the mystery can be solved.
(The article then goes on and lists the various people who were victimized).

Anti-warforged sentiments on the rise
Recently a group of peaceful protestors were accosted by warforged near the Lower Cogs. One of the protestors exclaiming that this particular warforged had a disease that could spread throughout Sharn. Officials are placing an award for the whereabouts of this diseased warforged.
A boy was quoted at the scene, "He was sick! And he also tried to hurt daddy! I hate you warforged!" This heartfelt cry is not lost on the Sharn racial purists, who have decided to additionally offer a reward for the death or capture of the warforged in question. Blackash warforged have made no particular comments, nor do any of them appear sick. Leading investigators to believe this warforged is not in the Lower Cogs.

Broken Anvil owner deceased
In the orbituaries, the Broken Anvil owner, a supporter of warforged as well as other minority demi-humans who have little place in Sharn has been slain. A gruff half-orc who tried his best to provide his warforged and demi human patrons with entertainment, appears to have been cleaved in two by an axe. Witnesses at the scene said a powerfully built man as well as a female elf wizard killed the orc. Many of the patrons feel that they were part of a Sharn racial purist group, but conflicting descriptions from the witnesses have left investigators in a rut. Further questioning to the Sharn purists have yielded no comment.
Awards for the whereabouts of these 2 criminals are offered, as well as the Broken Anvil up for sale. One of the few places the warforged who toil nearly endlessly in our Lower Cogs can rest, is likely to go out of business soon.

Heroes on the Rise by Tilly ir'Thizzlethrope
Recently, I was saved by the Shard Seekers, a small adventuring company. Not only do they have a diverse background as well as skills. They were able to bypass many obstacles to save me from an evil experiment. They even helped out a warforged, hiring them onto their staff! These people are the greatest, with low rates, and big hearts!
(The article goes on describing each person in a very stylized manner)

In the opinions column....
Shard Seekers? More like Sharn breakers. Submitted by the Explorer's Union of Aundair.
Are you guys joking? This company has loads of debt, questionable base of operations, and crashed a skycoach into a tower! Not to mention, they employ the outdated warforged in their group. And what's up with them bringing kids into battle? Sure she might be a caster or pretty mascot, but there's some lines that shouldn't be crossed, and bringing a teenager to battle is just as bad as the Last War.
Also, when's the last time they actually did their job besides the recent save of Tilly? Let's see... none! One assignment done successfully, doesnt make up for the lack of competence overall in this group.

A triple threat to your heart! by Lem Corrane d'Sivis
Now it takes a lot to draw my attention when I'm writing a new book. But these three beautiful and enchanting ladies took the stage at my local haunt, and I could not stop writing or thinking about them. The first girl had dark hair, and a young, and innocent look to her despite her rather mature outfit. The second, was a bit shy on stage, but that made her all the more charming in her simple peasant like clothes. The third was more mature and confident than either, but seemed to let the first take the lead.
Anyway, these ladies sent a fire through my gnomish heart. I hope they perform again soon, if anyone knows when they'll be about next, I'm sure the Swan's Refuge would be happy to have them again.

Earthquakes, a mad elemental on the loose?
Recent earthquakes has caused major damage to the EUA tower located in the Upper city. Along with the destruction of the tower, there were many Khyber creatures coming out of the wreckage. Luckily, a few members of the Shard Seekers, one Yurik and Jan and their warforged titans were able to suppress the majority of the aberrants.
EUA is facing charges of housing aberrants, conspiring with evil, and multiple murders from the past few months that point to them.
