To those of you that it matters to: wizards do in fact gain bonus spell slots from high primary stat score when working onder the UA-variant system, which is contrary to what we've been working with thus far. This wont effect you sorcerers, only those who need to mem their spells and work under the UA-variant system.

A few new house rules:
I briefly considered banning the polymorph spells entirely, but instead I've decided to leave them, with one particular change: you lose *all* abilities not granted by class abilities while altered/polymorphed, unless the ability is also given by the new form (so if your new form can see in magical darkness, you don't lose that if you're a Shade, otherwise you do). Basically, anything you're granted that pertains to your physical form is lost because, while altered, its not your physical form anymore.
Also, regarding the sudden weapon mods: they seem balanced enough in normal games, but when dealing with Cha mods of 10+, they're just hopelessly broken. I'm not going to ban it entirely, but I am going to nerf it down to a use of 1/day. having a save based on reflex, with a DC as high as it gets in this game, with the effect it slaps on, its effectively a free save-or-die otherwise.

Just to let everyone know: odds are, I'll be using the below linked variant for epic spellcasting (with the shadow weave at the very least), and combining it with some other variant rules to work with it (such as a custom epic PrC, or variant rules for existing epic progressions). I'm not 100% certain yet on if I'm gonna replace epic spellcasting entirely, or just make this for the shadow weave and call it its ability to cast 10th and higher spells, but I'll know by the time we get to epic. I haven't decided *exactly* how it'll work yet, but I figured since a few of you have indicated that you're already tinkering with Epic spell ideas, I'd be nice and throw you a bone. www.geocities.com/e_darrow/Epic_Spellcasting_Variant.pdf

Bandit Wastes - locating bandits:
To start, every day you spend searching the wastes for bandit camps, you have a 50% chance of actually finding one. For every one you find, you have a chance of them knowing of the location of others, thus upping your chance of finding more.
With each group you find, yuo have to decide what to do with them; taking the leader on as a follower, dominating the group/leader, slaughtering them, etc. With each group taken on, you have a better chance of finding the entrance to the weremole caves, as you incorporate knowledge they have on its whereabouts. Each location attempt you make (whether to find the weremoles OR more bandit clans) can take upwards of a day, and a failure will ALWAYS take up an entire days worth of searching (8 hours).
What you do beyond that is largely up to you; you can keep acquiring clans until you have an army that suits your needs, or just until you think you have a decent enough chance to find the weremoles; its entirely up to you. This can be handled before Saturday if you wish to get it out of the way.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I'm gonna have to call off the session tonight. Assuming nothing falls apart NEXT Saturday, things should pick back up then. For the time being however, I'm gonna cancel the daytime session, as we only have 4 players now, and some of you routinely can't make it. Once we get going again, I'll start looking into adding another couple players.
Sorry folks, I ddi intend to get things re-started tonight.

Slight problem for me this weekend, I'll be moving this saturday and to make matters worse my phone company yet to finish setting up my net account. So, I expect to be offline the next week or two.

With the group already being so small, I'm gonna have to postpone the game, prolly indefinitely, given the fact that Bella is VERY close to delivering and isn't likely to be able to play for quite some time once she does.
I'm working on a few things to try and get the game rolling again, but for right now its kinda stagnated.
