Okay, this is where I'll be posting brief descs of sites you are aware of, and we can hammer out OOC where we'll go, so as to maintain some level of IC non-linear feel. Now that the first arc is over and Dekanter is about to begin, its time to think about where next. Of course Sidry will recommend sites over time, and obviously some of the listed sites are more insane to undertake now then others, but... I'll leave that all up to you.
<----->
Hlaungadath: The ruins of a crashed Netherese enclave, Hlaungadath is now inhabited by a clan of Lamia, but Bedine myth holds that something far darker inhabits the deep places of the ruined enclave. Tales also tell of the Lamia having odd ideas of what is valuable, and that the city is filled with areas piled high with ancient enchanted weapons and armor, and the ground scattered with precious gems.
Halruaa: Halruaa is a country founded by Netherese refugees and to this day its residents are near pure-blooded Netherese. The country is ruled by a powerful wizard class, and because of this and its naturally fortified location (three of its borders are covered by high mountains, the other by a bay), it has had little trouble with enemies. At this time it is known to Shade to possess the highest likelihood of anyplace in Faerun to become a true Netherese state (aside from Shade), and while specifics aren't known, its likely actions are being taken along these lines.
Karse: Located deep within the High Forest lies a corrupted section known as the Dire Wood, formerly home to an ancient artifact called the Karsestone. After the fall of Netheril, a small city was founded around the Karsestone by Netherese refugees wishing to claim Karsus as their deity, but the city, and the cult, lasted barely a few years. Today, its likely there are artifacts in the area, but the Karsestone is long gone, and the area is still defended by two powerful undead beings, one a Lich, and the other a strange combination of construct and man.
Orolin - Another city of Asram, Orolin was called the "City of Magicians". Though largely blight-free, its waters have been tainted; poisoned during a battle between Bedine and Zhentarim troops a decade ago. Talontar Blightlords roam the streets of this ruin, commanding corpses of the Zhentarim army raised as ghouls. Bedine legends speak of a treasure buried somewhere within the ruins, but so far little has been found to confirm this.
Phelajarama: Capital of Asram, one of Netherils three "Lost Kingdoms". Asram was known for its magical excesses; its nobles refused to let go of the Netherese fabled magical decadence, and continued to practice it in abundance. Its citizens organized regular forays into the desert to recover Netherese artifacts, many of which likely still reside here. The city remains largely untouched, as its inhabitants were wiped out by a blight created by Talona (Goddess of Disease) in -33 DR during a deific battle between her and one of her rivals. The blight still clings to the site even today, which keeps looters to a minimum, though it is a known haven of Talontar Blightlords and other creations of the goddess of disease.
Ruins of Illusk: Within the city of Luskan, just south of the city proper lies the ruins of the ancient city of Illusk. First founded by northmen, it was rebuilt several times over the centuries, once by Netherese refugees. Now all thats left is several blocks of ruined city, but what lies underground is an unknown number of tombs to Netherese arcanists, no doubt still containing artifacts from the era. They no doubt contain powerful defenses as well, and undead are a virtual certainty.
Selunarra (Formerly Opus): Selunarra is the only other known Netherese enclave to survive the fall, now residing in the Gates of the Moon, Selune's celestial plane. Most of its residents are some combination of human and celestial at this point, either Aasimar or Half-Celestial, and all are near-fanatically devoted to Selune, and thus mortal enemies of Shar and her followers.
