I was just thumbing through the Stronghold Builders Guide, and I thought that combined with some slightly expanded rules for Leadership might make for some interesting options later on, like the group uses some of their loot to found a city to begin the expansion of Shadovar influence.
Still early to be actually doing something like that, but I figured I'd mention it, since it could possibly effect feat progression. The rules need a little more fleshing out, but to begin with I'm gonna say that anyone in the main group with the Leadership feat can be the leader of their own city, assuming they can raise the funds to build/rebuild one (like, maybe restore a fallen Netherese city?), and from there perhaps the games scope could change, from playing a minor role in trying to restore Netheril, to playing a far more significant part, like actually building cities in the new Netheril.
I still need to read the rules for this, but the populations of said cities would not be limited to your follower numbers, tho' the cities standing army could be (tho' that doesn't mean that your followers couldn't have Leadership and have their own allies, for example).
Anyway, its just a thought I'm considering, wondering if anyone else likes the idea and would want to see it later on in the campaign (odds are it wouldn't start level-wise until late teens, or early Epic).

I wouldn't mind, but would need to change my character a little to accomadate it.

Thats not really what I'm proposing. If its not something your char would do, don't do it; but if it is, then I'm simply explaining what that could lead to, since its not exactly how the feat usually works.

I guess its just too early to tell, city building is nice and all, but that could easily be part of an adventure arc with us eventually doing leadership stuff to support it? But I do like it overall.
