I was wondering if anyone had tried using Klugewurks?
Basically it's a (pay for license) modern version of OpenRPG. You can get a free trial download by checking their website and it looks Really cool.

yeah thee are quite a few pay for liscense ones out there but, I don't wanna pay for them and we couldn't make them what we use in camps cuz tha would be unfair to require an entire campaign of ppl to go and buy the liscense to that program

Yes it's true this one has a fee paying license and that would normally put me off too but you can download a free trial license to see if it really is as good as it looks and the cost is quite small after that. If a enough people show an interest I might consider springing for a multi license pack for us to use.

I'd be willing to take a look at the trial to see what it is like.... see if it is worth the switch

Wouldn't suppose you have a link to their site.... cuz I tried to go to it and I got this long code error thingy....and it is Kloogewerks.... least thats the only spelling I could find it as... then again.... i couldn't get onto their site to get the trail version to give my opinion

Google is your best friend.. even corrects misspells. I'm pretty happy with open and dont really see us using all the features of kloogeinc. Putting movies and all is nice , but how often do we do something like that ?

It does look alot more polished then OpenRPG, but... I'm a cheap bastard, I hate paying for most anything. ;D

Here is another new one that Aegir pointed out to me. You will need a 3d graphics card for this one (has some nifty spell effects). This one is free. users3.ev1.net/~mem5000/

That one looks really cool, but after playing with it a bit, it seems to have a bit of a painful learning curve. I'm trying to get involved in a campaign using it (even as a lurker) to see it in action, and maybe learn how to use it a bit. If its as cool as it looks (and isn't completely painful to learn) I think it'd make a great OpenRPG replacement.
