lol. the main reason for this variant would be that in real life, its a hell of a lot easier to hit someone in a vital area. we even have a rule against head shots when I swordfight because they're so dangererous, but there are frequently accidental headshots. ouch.... imagine getting hit in the head by a Glaive when its used by someone taller then you at full speed.... my head hurt a while afterwards lol. but like I said, crits are incredibly easy to get in real life. well, at least easier then a 1 in 20 chance. but with larger weapons like Glaives and big swords, it is significantly harder.

Larger weapons can kill just as easily in one hit. I always looked at great sword critical hits for example, as a massive shot that causes so much internal bleeding/shock that it kills you in seconds. Smaller weapons crit's are like surgically precise strikes that puncher a vital organ, bigger weapons just crush them outright.
But the bottom line would be gameplay over realism. So if it ends up being fun, heck I am all for it.
