Campaign setting: Eberron
Books allowed: All core(PHB, MM1, DMG. Psionics), complete series, eberron campaign setting + supplements. As well as one book per player's choice.
HP per level Max for every level.
Races and templates: PHB + Eberron races only.
Starting Region Breland, specifically, Sharn.
Alignment Preferabbly good or neutral. But as alignment is blurred in Eberron, I am ok with whatever as long as it doesn't involve killing or harassing fellow players.
Meeting time: Weekly Tuesday. 11 pm to 3 am CST

The goal of this campaign is to have a long term play starting at low levels all the way up to epic play. Expect to have a pretty fast paced levelling at the beginning, slower paced when you hit the mid levels and beyond. I will be enforcing house ties, dragonmarks, etc and the like. For example, a non-gnome caster would have a very tough time getting the Elemental Binding feat without a plausible history or in-game work to get such connections.

PCs are grouped together loosely by wanting to hunt for shards and in the same group.

I will allow 1 flaw from Unearthed Arcana to purchase dragonmark feats. This is to encourage connections as well as give a small boost to the dragonmark races.

Action points will be used, and probably somewhat necessary with some of the encounters planned.

Skill usage will have a couple variant rules, for example we will use theseDiplomacy rules instead of the standard ones.

Most likely, you will move onto an airship in mid levels, plan accordingly either with a higher charisma character, mark of passage, lyrander ship PrC or purchasing such items, etc, to control the airship.

Since there's multiple times available, here's how it'll work: (reposted from previous thread)

I'd like to do one continuous group, but I think the balance issues would be a pain. Here's the breakdown though.

I guess the most simple way would be something like... A person may play their char up to +1 or +2 average level of the party. If they exceed this, they create a secondary character at the average lvl, or take over a pre-made, etc.

This can lead to having cohorts, contacts, etc between session groups and while the 2 groups may never really interact (i.e. play together) there's something.

Of course, there's also the issue of coming up with enough new material. My creativity tends to run in spurts, so thinking up new ideas for both groups would be an issue I feel.

Which leads to... The same adventure continued by the same group (divided by 2) For example, group one kills the pirates, group two loots the ship and finds some ninjas hiding aboard and defeat them. Next week, group one loots the ninjas, discovering some mystical panties stolen by them. And group two again starts to question locals, etc. (Treasure to be split up in forum posts, and xp given equally to each group, etc)

Obviously, this requires both groups reading the transcript. But it's probably the most simple way to do it. People who aren't active are just assumed to be close but not doing anything.

k, i r making a half elf artificer of house lylander, working twords the Windwright captain class. I was wondering though, can i get scrolls not exceeding 20 xp in craft costs to represent my first level craft reserve? (Provided i roll the checks with you?)

Hey, I know you might not be able to but if you make it tuesday like 4 CST and Friday at 11 CST..... then I can play both times... but being in school allows me to not on these times, but unless times change... I can't play... weven though it sounds really good

Sorry, the times can't really change, is the reason elanthia never took off, real life would just get in the way despite my best intentions.

Well.... ok here is the problem... I can't do any weeknights late.... because of school the following day... and I am at school from 7:30AM- 3:00PM MST so it limits my playtimes.... though for the first couple of weeks I could on ur schedule because of winter break

Well the whole reason its running twice/week is so that people can miss a session and not miss out on an entire week, so not being able to make the Friday sessions isn't too critical.

k but anyone know when we will start playing? I can make a charector here but seeing as how i didnt bring my dnd books (and i only have unearthed/ebberon on my computer at home) it would be easier to make it after i got home-but whenever we start playing is good I can make a charector although I will prolly want to modify/adjust bg when I have easier access to books
